Here's a view out my window during the first snow of the year shortly before Halloween. This one didn't last long. |

Here's a fairly common view out my window... or was when I got home before full dark. I love the rays of light. |

Here's a view of my best friend this winter. This thing is on whenever I'm home and costs me a pretty penny in heating oil, but without insulation I don't really have much choice. Keeps me at a comfortable 18 degrees. |

Here's my car. It's a Nissan Sunny or something. Pretty nice used automatic that cost about $3000 and included a set of winter tires. Expensive relative to what the other ALTs paid, but I'm happy with it so far. |

Here's the New Years decoration I made from grass and paper and plastic bits. |

Combine very cold temperatures, very strong winds from an unusual direction, and the water that collects on my door from a broken water heater and this is what you get. My door literally frozen shut. A good shoulder charge can open it, though. |

In the garage stall next to mine my neighbor keeps an umbrella for rainy days. The roof leaks a bit, and with the alternating melting/freezing going on now, it makes for a good picture. |
