Hanami in Ueno Park

A cherry tree-lined path.
A temple off to the side.
Cherry Blossoms and Heather.
A dragon with a drool problem.
Fortunes tied on the rack.
I have no idea what this rock is.
I think these are prayers.
Cherry Blossoms up close.
A stream clogged with fallen petals.
Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more; Or close the wall up with our flowery dead.
A pink canopy
I kinda liked this picture
And here's how the Japanese Salaryman enjoys the cherry blossom season: by getting drunk with his coworkers on a blue tarp and pretending the wind blowing petals into his beer doesn't bother him.
Just to show you how crowded the park was even at this late date in the viewing season. And yes, it does have its own season.
You can almost see the petals on the breeze.
Down the path
More cherry blossoms
No clue who this guy is.
Here you can really see just how many petals were being blown around. The wind was really strong that day.
This is just a really oddly-shaped building.
And the tourist traps. We avoided that scene.
