Here's a distance shot of what the ride entails: Aomi up front on the snowmobile and a sled with two or three people being dragged along in it's wake. |
The snowmobile kicks up a fair amount of snow... |
And the turns can throw off the unwary. |
Speaking of being thrown off, here's the kid who was left behind in the last picture: dead to the world. |
He eventually manages to get back up. |
And after his next ride he's posing with his fellow riders. |
Being somewhat heftier than the kids, I always get the back of the sled. That doesn't spare me, though. Here I am after clearing enough snow out of my eyes to open them and fumble with the camera. |
Aomi takes a break to chat with his victims while Tanahashi drags a few around the field. |
One girl stops to smile for the camera after her harrowing ride. |
Now that's a smart idea: bring some goggles. |
And some people just get coated no matter what. Yes, he was in the back for his ride too. |
As you can see as he prepares for the next one. |
And they're off! |
Yup, he looks about as expected. Good thing he wasn't in the front! |
Like this poor kid was. |
See the windburn in their cheeks? |
Oh dear... looks like he did get in the front. |
At least he remembered to pu his hat down... |
Hey, he's still alive folks! What a trooper! |
A pair back from the trip. But... wait a minute... is that what I think it is on her eyes? |
Eeyup. That's gotta hoit. |
Group shot! |
