Here's the forestry lady explaining some of the flaura and fauna we'll see on the snow-shoe hike. She's pretty nice, speaks some English, and is willing to talk to me. Now if only I could remember her name... damn I suck at this. Don't look at me like that! All Japanese names really do sound alike! |

Here's the one and only shot I got on the snowshoeing expedition. We hiked through the forest around Lake Kutcharo examining the local oaks and birches and seeing various animal paw prints (mostly squirrels and foxes). |
