Making Snow Caves

Here are the girls starting their cave.
And the first group of boys, already hard at work.
And the second group of boys seem to have made a dent.
Yup... that's some mighty fine digging there. Keep up the good work. it's good to be the supervisor.
They made some good progress. this cave is already big enough for two people to work inside it.
But what do you do with all that snow?
Why, build walls to separate yourself from your neighbors of course!
The walls got pretty sizable by the end, but they're only thigh-high right now.
Oh fine, I won't laze around forever. It's actually rather hard work clearing out that much snow. sweat freezing on your brow is not a terribly enjoyable experience.

Yup, it looks like all three caves survived until morning.
Let's take a closer look, shall we? Starting with the girls' cave.
Everyone's at breakfast. here's a shot from the back of the cave.
What's this? looks like they cleared out a hole into the boys cave. Tsk tsk tsk...
The boys weren't particularly innocent in that respect. Looks like all three caves were connected by the morning.
This is boys' cave #1.
And here's the entrance
